Abstract

En el presente trabajo se elabora un análisis de la novela de la autora veracruzana Fernanda Melchor, Temporada de huracanes. Con soporte en las teorías de género, se revisa la construcción de los personajes a través del par excluyente masculino/ femenino que los determina dentro de la ficción y los representa en el texto a partir de estereotipos de género. La novela, al igual que la nota roja, funciona como narración de la violencia. En este caso, a partir de la categoría de estereotipo de género y normalización de la violencia se contrasta la novela con el género periodístico.
