Oclusión intestinal por adherencias

Abstract

La oclusión intestinal por adherencias es un problema frecuente en pacientes previamente sometidos a intervenciones quirúrgicas abdominales. El mecanismo para la formación de adherencias, es el daño a la superficie peritoneal, que genera un proceso de cicatrización al azar. Se han descrito numerosas intervenciones para prevenirla con resultados variables. EL diagnóstico de la oclusión intestinal es clínico y se utilizan métodos paraclínicos para confirmar sospecha de isquemia intestinal e indicar cirugía. Se presenta una revisión del tema.
