Psicoterapia sistemico-relazionale di gruppo in un servizio di salute mentale

Abstract

L’autore espone l’esperienza di psicoterapia di gruppo secondo l’ap¬proccio sistemico-relazionale, condotta presso un Servizio di Salute Mentale del sud Italia che si protrae da sette anni ed ha visto coinvolti piu di 50 pazienti nella formazione di quattro gruppi terapeutici. Partendo dalle motivazioni che hanno guidato la scelta del setting, vengono illustrati i criteri seguiti nella costituzione dei gruppi, le regole a cui si attengono i partecipanti, le modalita operative del lavoro ed il tipo di intervento svolto. L’autore analizza gli aspetti piu significativi del processo terapeutico, focalizza il ruolo e le funzioni del terapeuta ed infine sostiene la forte efficacia di tale approccio clinico per evitare ricoveri, garantire la compliance terapeutica, sperimentare il senso di appartenenza e la responsabilita del personale percorso evolutivo.
