Abstract

A bandeira galega, tal como hoxe a coñecemos, foi deseñada por Manuel Murguía en 1891, hai agora cento trinta e dous anos. Sinalamos tamén que a bandeira se viu por vez primeira nese mesmo ano, durante a traslación de Rosalía de Castro ao Panteón de Galegos Ilustres. Así o acredita a documentación que se achega neste artigo. Veremos tamén cal é a orixe da bandeira branca de Galiza e aínda poderemos ver reproducidas algunhas das bandeiras máis antigas que se conservan.
