Entre prexuízos e estereotipos

Abstract

Neste artigo afóndase no estudo, desde o punto de vista lexicográfico, dos modelos de relación afectivo-sexual máis tradi-cionais. As relacións monógamas son maioritarias nos nosos días, mais cómpre ter en conta que isto non sempre foi así nin ocorre en todas as culturas. Por medio da análise dos artigos lexicográficos que se recollen para as voces monogamia, bigamia, poligamia, poliandria e polixinia nalgúns dos principais dicionarios de carácter xeral do galego e doutras linguas da nosa contorna, reflexionaremos sobre a orixe e evolución semántica destes termos e dedicarémoslles especial atención aos enunciados definitorios e aos exemplos recollidos. O noso principal obxectivo é identificar as principais incorreccións e nesgos cognitivos presentes nestes textos, coa intención de evidenciar a persistencia de determinados prexuízos, estereotipos ou concepcións caducas no discurso lexicográfico. O traballo finaliza cunha proposta de modificación das definicións lexicográficas para os termos estudados. O interese desta proposta adica, por unha banda, en que desprovemos os novos enunciados de xuízos inexactos e, pola outra, en que incorporamos os significados derivados que estas voces posúen hoxe en día.
