Analisis Beban Kerja Mental pada Dosen Menggunakan Metode NASA TLX

Abstract

Permasalahan yang terjadi pada Program Studi Teknik Industri Universitas XY adalah rasio yang tidak proporsional antara jumlah mahasiswa aktif dengan jumlah dosen tetap. Berdasarkan surat edaran Dikti No. 2920/DT/2007 menetapkan bahwa standar perbandingan jumlah dosen tetap dengan mahasiswa aktif yang ideal adalah 1:25 namun yang terjadi saat ini tercatat perbandingannya adalah 1:43,21. Perbandingan rasio tersebut berdampak pada beban kerja dosen. Terdapat 71% dosen yang memiliki beban mengajar sebesar 12 sks dan 80% memiliki jadwal mengajar 5 sks dalam sehari tanpa jeda. Hal itu menyebabkan beban kerja berlebih dan kebutuhan waktu yang tinggi mengingat beban kerja 12 sks tersebut merupakan hanya beban mengajar saja belum termasuk penelitan, pengabdian masyarakat, rutinitas pelayanan akademik terhadap mahasiswa dan beban administrasi sebagai pejabat struktural. Selain itu berdasarkan observasi, ditemukan indikasi stress pada dosen berupa perubahan nafsu makan 21,4%, gangguan saat tidur 14,3%, lesu dalam mengajar 21,4% dan menurunya semangat dalam bekerja 21,4%. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah NASA TLX. Terdapat 6 deskriptor NASA TLX diantaranya adalah kebutuhan mental (KM), kebutuhan Fisik (KF), kebutuhan waktu (KW), usaha (U), performansi (P) dan tingkat frstasi (TF). Berdasarkan analisis NASA TLX terdapat 6 dosen memiliki kategori beban kerja mental yang sangat tinggi dan 8 dosen yang memiliki kategori beban kerja mental yang tinggi. Berdasarkan uji beda rata-rata terdapat perbedaan penilaian terhadap deskriptor NASA TLX dilihat dari faktor usia. Berdasarkan uji test between effect ada beda antara umur terhadap penilaian performansi.
