Hasil Variasi Media Quenching Terhadap Kekuatan Tarik Baja S45C

Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini, baja S45C akan diuji dan dibandingkan nilai kekuatan tarik yang dimiliki sebelum dan setelah diberikan perlakuan panas <em>Quench Hardening</em>. Suhu pemanasan yang digunakan dalam proses perlakuan panas ialah 850 ℃, dengan <em>holding time </em>yaitu<em> </em>30 menit. Media <em>quenching</em> yang digunakan yaitu “Es Batu Ditambah Air”, “Larutan NaCl 3,45%”, dan “Oli SAE 10W-30”. Hasil dari pengujian tarik menunjukkan bahwa media <em>quenching</em> “Es Batu ditambah Air” dan media <em>quenching</em> “Larutan NaCl 3,45%” menghasilkan rata-rata nilai kekuatan tarik 156,27 MPa dan 228,55 MPa, sementara pada <em>raw material</em> dan media <em>quenching</em> “Oli SAE 10W-30” menghasilkan rata-rata nilai kekuatan tarik 707,03 MPa dan 1.116,30 MPa.
