Empfehlungen zur Open-Access-Transformation

Abstract

Die vorliegenden „Empfehlungen zur Open-Access-Transformation“ wurden von der Ad-hoc-Arbeitsgruppe „Open-Access-Gold“ im Rahmen der Schwerpunktinitiative „Digitale Information“ der Allianz der deutschen Wissenschaftsorganisationen erarbeitet und basieren auf den von der AG formulierten „Positionen zur Schaffung eines wissenschaftsadäquaten Open-Access-Publikationsmarktes“. Sie richten sich in erster Linie an wissenschaftliche Bibliotheken, aber auch an Verlage und weitere Akteure im Bereich des wissenschaftlichen Publizierens. Die Empfehlungen geben Orientierungshilfen für die strategische und praktische Verankerung von Open Access in der Informationsversorgung wissenschaftlicher Einrichtungen im Sinne einer aktiven Unterstützung der Open-Access-Transformation. Ausgehend von der Beschreibung der Open-Access-Transformation sowie ihrer Mechanismen und Akteure, die den Bibliotheken eine zentrale Rolle in diesem Prozess zuweist, werden einzelne Aktivitäten benannt, über die Bibliotheken ihre exponierte Rolle im Transformationsprozess aktiv wahrnehmen können.
