Potensi Sari Air Perasan Daun Alpukat (Persea americana) Sebagai Biolarvasida Culex quinquefasciatus

Abstract

Daun alpukat mengandung berbagai senyawa yang terbukti menyebabkan kematian pada larva Aedes aegypti. Dalam penggunaannya memiliki keterbatasan yaitu sifat ekstraknya cenderung menyebabkan kekeruhan pada air, sehingga menghambat kelangsungan hidup larva Aedes aegypti. Berbeda dengan larva Aedes aegypti, larva Culex sp dapat hidup dan berkembang dengan baik di air yang kotor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji potensi sari air perasan daun alpukat (Persea americana) sebagai biolarvasida Culex quinquefasciatus. Jenis penelitian termasuk dalam penelitian eksperimental murni dengan menggunakan desain penelitian yaitu posstest-only control group design. Perlakuan terdiri dari lima kelompok konsentrasi air perasan daun alpukat yaitu 0%, 2,5%, 5%, 7,5%, dan 10%. Masing-masing perlakuan menggunakan 20 larva Culex quinquefasciatus instar III dengan replikasi sebanyak 6 kali. Data kematian larva Culex sp yang terpapar air perasan daun alpukat selama 24 jam dianalisis menggunkan uji Anova, uji Bonferroni, dan uji Probit. Penelitian ini belum menguji efek jangka panjang penggunaan air perasan daun alpukat terhadap organisme non-target. Hasil menunjukkan tingkat kematian larva berturut-turut sebesar 12,5%, 25%, 72,5%, dan 92,5%. Pengukuran suhu dan pH air media uji larva Culex quinquefasciatus mendapatkan hasil 27°C dan pH sebesar 6, sedangkan pengukuran suhu dan kelembapan ruang mendapatkan hasil 26,7°C dan 56%. Uji Anova menunjukan terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara konsentrasi air perasan daun alpukat (p<0,001), pada uji Bonferroni menunjukkan bahwa hanya pada kontrol negatif (0%) dengan konsentrasi 2,5% dan konsentrasi 2,5% dengan 5% yang tidak berbeda secara signifikan. Nilai LC50 yang didapatkan yaitu sebesar 2,638%. Disimpulkan bahwa sari air perasan daun alpukat memiliki potensi sebagai biolarvasida terhadap Culex quinquefasciatus.
