Abstract

Lalat merupakan vektor yang dapat menyebabkan penyakit bagi manusia. Keberadaan lalat sangat mengganggu kehidupan manusia. Untuk memutus rantai penularan penyakit dari lalat, perlu dilakukan pengendalian. Misalnya penggunaan insektisida alami dari tumbuhan daun belimbing wuluh (Averrhoa bilimbi) yang memiliki senyawah kimia bersifat toksik terhadap vektor lalat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas lilin aromaterapi ekstrak daun belimbing wuluh (averrhoa bilimbi) sebagai pengusir lalat rumah (musca domestica). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 100 ekor lalat rumah (musca domestica) dengan waktu pemajanan selama 1 jam dengan interval waktu 20 menit dengan pengulangan sebanyak 3 kali dan konsentrasi ekstrak yang digunakan yaitu 30%, 40% dan 50%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada konsentrasi 30% total rata-rata lalat yang terusir sebanyak 4 ekor dengan persentase 40%, konsentrasi 40% total rata-rata lalat yang terusir sebanyak 5 ekor dengan persentase 50%, dan konsentrasi 50% total rata-rata lalat yang terusir sebanyak 8 ekor dengan persentase 80%. Disimpulkan dari ketiga konsentrasi yang digunakan, konsentrasi yang paling efektif dalam mengusir lalat uji adalah konsentrasi 50%. Sehingga disarankan agar masyarakat menggunakan lilin daun belimbing wuluh dalam mengusir lalat. Kata kunci : Metode Spray, Efektif, Aedes aegypti, Demam Berdarah Dengue , Ekstrak Bunga Jantan Sukun
