Objective: The chemokine receptor CXCR7 and its ligand SDF-1a are expressed on both glioma cells and tumor-associated vessels. Both molecules have been linked to cancer angiogenesis and tumor cell migration where CXCR7 is expressed on the migrating cells and SDF-1a acts as a chemoattractant.
