Vermicompost is an organic fertilizer that helps soil fertility, generated by earthworms, and sensor networks can be created through the Internet of Things (IoT) to monitor the environmental conditions of the soil where they live. They generate vermicompost, an organic fertilizer that helps soil fertility. This paper presents a review of the different types of humidity, luminosity and temperature sensors found in the literature, in order to determine which of them are the most suitable for a vermiculture monitoring system based on IoT. The results show that the I2C Soil Moisture capacitive sensor is the most appropriate to monitor humidity, the BH1750 phototransistor is the chosen as luminosity sensor and the DS18B20 solid state sensor is the most outstanding to measure temperature.
