Abstract

Desa Gawan Kecamatan Tanon berkembang menjadi tempat desa wisata. Saat ini sampah merupakan masalah lingkungan yang sangat serius yang dihadapi masyarakat. Bisa dikatakan sampah setiap hari dihasilkan oleh wisatawan dan masyarakat lokal, baik itu sampah organik maupun anorganik. Namun tidak semua jenis sampah anorganik bisa diolah, karena membutuhkan ruang penyimpanan yang cukup besar. Salah satunya adalah kaleng minuman yang banyak dibuang pengunjung. Proses penyimpanan sampah kaleng butuh tenaga dari sumber daya manusia yang ada. Sehingga butuh perencanaan untuk membuat alat bantu pengepres untuk mengurangi sumber daya manusia. Metode pemecahan masalah dengan membuat mesin pengepres kaleng dengan tujuan untuk memudahkan proses penyimpanan. Mesin pengepres kaleng menggunakan daya listrik untuk memutar motor listrik sebesar 0,5 Hp. Mesin pengepres kaleng yang dibuat menggunakan model double acting yaitu dalam satu proses bisa melakukan dua kali pengepresan. Mesin pengepres kaleng ini membantu proses pengurangan sampah anorganik secara mudah dan cepat dengan memasukkan edukasi pengolahan sampah yang menarik. Dengan adanya alat ini proses pengepresan lebih cepat dan lebih memberi nilai tambah bagi masyarakat khususnya Desa Gawan Kecamatan Tanon Kabupaten Sragen.
