Delamination in Composites

Abstract

Abstract Delamination, a separation of the fiber-reinforced layers stacked together to form laminates, is one of the most commonly observed failure modes in composite materials. This article presents an overview of the characterization, analysis, and prediction of delamination in composites. It describes the common causes of delamination during manufacturing and in service.
