Abstract ELKONITE G13, G14, 1060, 3042 and 3150 tungsten carbide-silver alloys have good erosion resistance and low contact resistance. The major characteristics are superior resistance to contact welding or sticking and excellent corrosion resistance. Tungsten carbide is a hard, chemically inert material and has a lower rate of oxidation than tungsten, The tungsten carbide-silver Elkonites are resistant to corrosion in high-humidity atmospheres and are superior to the other Elkonite materials in that respect. They vary in composition from 33 to 60 percent tungsten carbide by weight. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, and hardness. Filing Code: W-23.
