Abstract Carlson alloy Nitronic 30 is a nitrogen-strengthened austenitic stainless steel providing aqueous corrosion resistance combined with resistance to abrasives and metal-to-metal wear. It has higher mechanical properties than standard austenitic grades and outstanding corrosive wear resistance under many different sliding conditions. Its galling resistance is equivalent to that of AISI Type 304. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, and joining. Filing Code: SS-814. Producer or source: G.O. Carlson Inc.
