NITRONIC 20

NITRONIC 20

Abstract

Abstract Nitronic 20 was designed for elevated-temperature use where high mechanical strength and resistance to oxidation and sulfidation are important. This stainless steel exhibits high mechanical strength throughout the 1000-1700 F (538-927 C) temperature range, yet it is malleable at forging temperatures and provides excellent hot workability. Nitronic 20 also retains ductility and ambient temperatures; this permits working or shaping by many conventional cold-forming processes. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties as well as fatigue. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, and machining. Filing Code: SS-381. Producer or source: Armco Inc., Stainless Steel Division.
