Abstract SICROMO-5S is a low-carbon, 5% chromium alloy steel recommended for applications in which a high degree of surface stability under oxidizing conditions is required for temperatures up to 1500 F. It is used in air prehealer tubes, recuperater and superheater tubes. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness and creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: SS-232.
