Abstract

Abstract INCONEL Alloy 690 is a wrought nickel-base alloy with excellent resistance to many corrosive aqueous media and high-temperature atmospheres. It also has high strength, good metallurgical stability, and favorable fabrication characteristics. It has excellent resistance to stress-corrosion cracking in chloride-containing solutions and to sodium hydroxide solutions. INCONEL Alloy 690 is useful for various applications involving nitric or nitric/hydrofluoric acid solutions, sulfur-containing gases and various types of high-temperature water such as in nuclear generators. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: Ni-266.
