Suele darse por sentado la universalidad de la paz. No cuestionamos que muchos de los proyectos de paz son en realidad narrativas impulsadas “desde arriba” para imponer modelos civilizatorios y económicos específicos, provocando la homogeneización de la humanidad en una monocultura: la económica. En este artículo se ofrece una crítica a la paz emparejada con el desarrollo, así como un esfuerzo de tejido entre la diversidad de paces, siempre territorializadas y culturalmente ubicables, y el diálogo intercultural tan urgente en nuestro tiempo.
