Abstract

“Muy buenas noches. Son las 19 horas con dos minutos del viernes 11 de junio de 2021. Estamos en el Palacio Nacional de México, en la Ciudad de México, y vamos a iniciar la última de nuestras sesiones diarias de conferencia de prensa sobre covid–19, la pandemia causada por el coronavirus sars–CoV–2.” Con estas palabras el doctor Hugo López–Gatell comenzó la última emisión de las conferencias de prensa dedicadas a enfrentar la crisis sanitaria. Durante esa sesión el llamado zar de la pandemia, junto con varios colaboradores, presentó un balance de las medidas puestas en marcha en México en torno a lo que denominó los tres pilares de la estrategia: mitigación, reconversión hospitalaria y vacunación. Agradeció al doble público de la conferencia: a “los comunicadores y comunicadoras” por su labor, y al “soberano, el pueblo de México, que nos ha seguido, nos ha escuchado, ha estado presente, interesado, solidario y ha creado una comunidad” (Secretaría de Salud, 2021).
