Sistem Pengatur Lebar Celah Roller pada Mesin Pemipih Adonan Mie

Abstract

Mie merupakan makanan favorit orang Indonesia karena pengolahannya yang mudah dan dapat menggantikan nasi. Proses produksi mie oleh pedagang tradisional umumnya masih menggunakan mesin pembuat mie manual dengan tenaga manusia sebagai penggeraknya. Untuk menghemat tenaga dan meningkatkan efisiensi waktu dalam pembuatan mie, telah banyak dikembangkan mesin pembuat mie dengan penggerak motor. Pada mesin pembuat mie dengan penggerak motor ini, pengaturan lebar celah roller pemipih adonan mie masih dilakukan secara manual menggunakan sistem mekanik. Pada penelitian ini dirancang sebuah sistem pengatur lebar celah roller pada mesin pemipih adonan mie menggunakan sistem elektronik dengan memanfaatkan mekanisme lead screw untuk menggerakkan roller pemipih. Sistem ini menggunakan sebuah motor stepper sebagai penggerak dan keypad serta LCD karakter sebagai antarmuka pengguna untuk memudahkan pengguna dalam mengatur lebar celah roller yang diinginkan. Dari hasil pengujian diperoleh bahwa sistem yang telah dirancang dapat memipihkan adonan mie dengan ketebalan 5 mm hingga 1 mm dengan tingkat ketelitian ± 0,3 mm. Hasil pengujian juga menunjukkan bahwa adonan mie yang dipipihkan menggunakan jarak roller yang lebih kecil akan menghasilkan adonan mie yang lebih pulen.
