Occupational risks in dental medicine are presented on the example of the risk assessment and the implementation of safety measures at work in Zagreb Dental Clinic. The risk factors leading to possible occupational diseases in dental medicine are classified according to their frequency into five groups: biological, stato-dynamic, physical, chemical and psychogenic causes. Subsequent analysis of the questionnaire examining the satisfaction of employees, which is regularly administered among staff at Zagreb Dental Clinic, shows that employee satisfaction ensues from adequate working conditions and, very importantly, it is in direct relation to the psychosocial factors. Prevention and health protection in dental medicine is ensured by securing optimum working conditions, which includes implementation of standard safety measures and ergonomically designed equipment and instruments.
