This is the review of the book autored by Sansó-Rubert, Daniel. (2022) Democracia sin Democracia. El escudo constitucional frente al poder del crimen organizado. Colex. 490 págs. The book is especially relevant because it addresses the threat of organized crime to democracy from the perspective of political law, constitutional law, not as an exclusively criminal matter. And this perspective is all the more important since more and more, not only the threat but the means implemented to combat it, are placed at the limit of what is constitutionally acceptable or directly transgress it.
