Horas de frio obtidas de estações meteorológicas convencional e automática

Abstract

O número de horas em que a temperatura do ar permanece abaixo de 7,2°C é um índice bioclimático muito utilizado na fruticultura de clima temperado. O objetivo desse trabalho foi comparar as horas de frio obtidas de estações convencional e automática, instaladas em Campos Novos, SC. As variáveis meteorológicas horas de frio diárias, temperatura horária do termógrafo e temperatura do ar (mínima, média e instantânea) horária foram coletadas em uma estação meteorológica convencional (EMC) e em duas estações meteorológicas automáticas (EMA) instaladas em Campos Novos – SC. Esse estudo indicou que a principal razão das diferenças entre as horas de frio da EMC e das EMAs foi a falta de calibração do termógrafo na EMC. As temperaturas médias e instantânea do ar podem ser usadas para calcular as horas de frio nas EMAs mas a temperatura mínima do ar superestima as horas de frio. Os índices estatísticos e o teste de homogeneidade entre as séries históricas da estação meteorológica convencional e automática são importantes para determinar se as EMAs podem ser usadas para dar continuidade para às séries climatológicas de HF da EMC.
