The ideas that students have about diseases, allergies and food intolerances arouse a great interest in the educational field, because they are more and more frequent today and condition people's lives by causing serious health damage. In this way, this study identifies some of the ideas that a group of 3rd grade students had on these issues. The results showed that the students had some notions about it, but on many occasions their knowledge was partial and biased. This situation reflects the necessity of a food education that focuses especially on these contents and, thus, reduces the appearance of these food problems that affect so many people. Las ideas que tiene el alumnado acerca de las enfermedades, alergias e intolerancias alimentarias suscitan un gran interés en el ámbito educativo, puesto que cada vez son más frecuentes en la sociedad actual y condicionan en gran medida la vida de las personas al causar graves daños en la salud. De esta manera, en este estudio se identifican algunas de las ideas que tenía un grupo de estudiantes de 3º Primaria sobre estos temas. Los resultados obtenidos mostraron que el alumnado poseía algunas nociones al respecto, pero en muchas ocasiones su conocimiento era parcial y sesgado. Esta situación refleja la necesidad de una educación alimentaria que incida especialmente en estos contenidos y, así, disminuya la aparición de estos problemas alimentarios que afectan a tanta población.
