Akurasi Awal Waktu Zuhur Perspektif Hisab dan Rukyat

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang awal waktu salat Zuhur. Tidak seperti penentuan awal bulan kamariah, penentuan awal waktu salat selama ini dianggap cukup dengan menggunakan hisab. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya praktek antara penentuan awal waktu salat yang didasarkan pada fenomena siklus posisi Matahari terhadap bumi atau implikasi cahaya Matahari terhadap benda-benda di permukaan bumi dengan kriteria awal waktu salat yang berbasis hisab. Peneliti membatasi penelitian ini pada akurasi awal waktu Zuhur karena hasil hisab awal waktu Zuhur menjadi kunci untuk hisab waktu salat lainnya. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan. Metode penelitian yang penulis gunakan adalah observasi. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa waktu ihtiyath yang digunakan selama ini untuk waktu Zuhur adalah sekitar 2 sampai 4 menit. Namun, dengan mengacu pada observasi yang penulis lakukan menggunakan tongkat istiwak, dengan mempertimbangkan perubahan panjang bayangan tiap satuan menitnya, maka hasil observasi menyatakan bahwa ihtiyath waktu Zuhur berkisar antara 1 sampai 4 menit jam antara hasil hisab dengan azan di sekitar tempat observasi. Hal ini menjelaskan bahwa hisab waktu Zuhur sudah relevan dengan azan yang dikumandangkan dan sesuai dengan kaidah bahwa waktu Zuhur dimulai sejak Matahari zawal, atau bertambah panjangnya bayangan setelah kulminasi (bayangan terpendek) yang dibentuk oleh gnomon atau tongkat istiwak.
