Identifikasi Kemurnian Minyak Nilam Dengan Metode Pengamatan Spektrum Fluoressensi

Abstract

Minyak Nilam adalah minyak Atsiri merupakan suatu minyak yang mudah menguap (volatile oil) biasanya terdiri dari senyawa organik yang bergugus alkohol, aldehid, keton dan berantai pendek. selain itu diperoleh juga terpena yang merupakan senyawaan hidrokarbon yang bersifat tidak larut dalam air. Minyak atsiri dikenal juga sebagai minyak eteris (aetheric oil), esensial, atau aromatik. Telah dilakukan identifikasi terhadap kemurnian minyak nilam dengan pengamatan dan analisa spektrum fluoresensi. Pengamatan dilakukan untuk minyak nilam yang masih murni dan minyak nilam yang sudah diberi campuran ( tidak murni). Dengan membandingkan kedua data tersebut, maka dapat dibedakan minyak yang masih murni dan tidak murni. Dalam penelitian ini juga dapat ditentukan kadar campuran pada minyak nilam tersebut.Kata Kunci : Identifikasi, Fluoresensi, minyak atsiri, Spektrometer
