Optimización de puntos de acceso para una LAN bajo restricciones de cobertura, capacidad y FSL

Abstract

Este documento muestra una solución para minimizar el número de puntos de acceso (AP) necesarios en el diseño de un conjunto de usuarios que se distribuirá en una red inalámbrica de área local (LAN) con la creación de un modelo de optimización, que tiene como objetivo minimizar el número de sitios candidatos para entregar un servicio a cada usuario y reducir la utilización de recursos, por lo cual estará sujeto a restricciones de cobertura, capacidad y pérdida de espacio libre (FSL). La restricción de cobertura tendrá como bases las características proporcionadas por cada AP utilizado en función de su limitación para permitir una conexión entre el sitio candidato y el usuario, el cual debe estar dentro de su radio de cobertura. La segunda restricción de capacidad, también asociada con las características de los AP, junto con la restricción de cobertura permitirá una conexión a los usuarios dentro del intervalo de cobertura y un número específico de receptores que puedan soportar cada AP. Finalmente, para la tercera restricción se calculará el valor de FSL para cada distancia encontrada entre los AP que darán como resultado un promedio de perdidas el cual servirá de referencia para condicionar la conexión.
