Relacionismo perceptual y la percepción del cambio: el enactivismo sensoriomotor de Alva Noë y los estados “ocurrentes” de Matthew Soteriou.

Abstract

El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar y vincular las propuestas de los filósofos Alva Noë y Matthew Soteriou en lo que respecta a percepción. Noë está enfocado en la percepción espacial y el volumen de los objetos, y Soteriou en la percepción temporal y la extensión temporal de los eventos. Ambas propuestas fundamentan una relación de conocimiento que tienen el individuo percipiente con el mundo, por lo que las propuestas son descritas como relacionistas, y esta definición las contrapone a las propuestas representacionalistas que los autores rechazan. Las críticas se fundamentan en que el uso de representaciones es de una noción estática y no dinámica de la experiencia perceptiva y además implica una idea centralizada de la percepción que no considera el desarrollo co-evolutivo que ha tenido el aparato perceptual con la capacidad motora y agente del cuerpo del individuo percipiente. Los argumentos de las propuestas relacionistas de Noë y Soteriou justifican sus diferencias a través de la caracterización de la relación de conocimiento, y proporciona matices distintos para las interrogantes perceptuales.
