Bu calisma ogrencilerin el yazisi yazma becerileri ile akademik basarilari arasindaki iliskinin incelemesi amaciyla yurutulmustur. Iliskisel taramanin kullanildigi bu arastirmanin orneklemini 8. sinifta ogrenim goren 44 ogrenci olusturmaktadir. Bu ogrenciler olcut orneklemesi yontemi kullanilarak belirlenmistir. Arastirma verileri, ogrencilerin derslerindeki acik uclu sinavlara verdikleri yazili cevaplar ve Turkiye’de yapilan temel egitimden orta ogretime gecis sinavinda (TEOG) alinan Yerlestirmeye Esas Puanlarindan (YEP) elde edilmistir. Ogrencilerin el yazilari “El Yazisi Yazma Becerisi Gozlem Formu” dogrultusunda degerlendirilmistir. Veri analizinde SPSS 15 kullanilmistir. Calisma sonucunda el yazisi yazma becerisi ile akademik basari arasinda anlamli bir iliski tespit edilememis; fakat dort temel dersten matematik dersi ile el yazisi yazma becerisi arasinda negatif yonde orta duzeyde anlamli bir iliski bulunmustur.
