Abstract

A regiao amazonica mantem a maior rede de drenagens do mundo, aliado a isso, a bacia hidrografica dessa regiao possui um potencial para geracao de energia hidreletrica maior que o atual patamar de producao brasileiro, o qual gera cerca de 78.000 MW. O objetivo dessa pesquisa foi a realizacao de uma analise qualitativa entre a relacao da politica energetica brasileira, associada ao modelo de desenvolvimento adotado para a regiao Amazonica os conflitos que isso origina. Os dados obtidos e analisados indicaram que no ano de 2016, a CPT registrou 14 conflitos associados aos recursos hidricos na regiao, dos quais 57,9% envolvem barragens hidreletricas. Com isso, a relacao do modelo energetico atual aplicado a Amazonia, encontra-se em desequilibrio, o que resulta em conflitos com as comunidades onde as UHE’s sao soerguidas.
