MODELAGEM HIDRODINÂMICA DE INUNDAÇÕES EM CANAIS URBANOS USANDO A TÉCNICA DOS VOLUMES FINITOS

Abstract

Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar o comportamento de três canais hidráulicos por meio da técnica dos volumes finitos, empregando softwares freeware. Para isso, foram realizadas diversas simulações computacionais com o auxílio dos programas FreeCAD, OpenFoam, ParaView, ElmerFEM e Blender. A aplicação desse método permitiu a observação de aspectos importantes em canais hidráulicos, tais como a distribuição de pressão e vazão, características típicas de canais fechados. Ao executar esses testes, foi possível identificar e entender cenários de fluxos que apresentam tendência a inundações e que permitem realizar análises com programas gratuitos. O artigo tem o intuito de usar dados de vazões para avaliar a modelagem hidrodinâmica de inundações em canais urbanos. Empregando o procedimento dos volumes finitos com softwares gratuitos, o artigo destaca a necessidade de aperfeiçoamento do método para futuros projetos e modelos já existentes.
