Abstract

O livro "50 anos de História e Memórias: Engenharia Florestal na UFMT" é uma obra comemorativa organizada pelo PET Engenharia Florestal da UFMT para celebrar o cinquentenário do curso de Engenharia Florestal da Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso. A publicação resgata a trajetória do curso, fundado em 1974, destacando sua importância na formação de 1.484 engenheiros florestais de 1978/2 a 2024/1. A obra reúne 67 depoimentos de egressos e 23 de alunos atualmente matriculados, organizados em seis capítulos que narram a evolução do curso ao longo dos anos. Cada capítulo corresponde a uma década: 1ª Década (1975-1984), 2ª Década (1985-1994), 3ª Década (1995-2004), 4ª Década (2005-2014) e 5ª Década (2015-2024). O sexto capítulo é dedicado aos alunos atualmente matriculados no curso. Além dos relatos, o livro apresenta listas de formandos e alunos atuais e fotografias, registros que ajudam a contar a história do curso.
