Abstract

A cartilha "Insetos de Interesse Médico" aborda diversos insetos que podem transmitir doenças aos seres humanos e animais, com foco especial nos mosquitos da dengue, barbeiros e outros vetores de doenças. Os autores, pesquisadores da Fiocruz Rondônia e Fiocruz Amazonas, apresentam informações sobre a prevenção e combate a esses insetos, destacando a importância da saúde única, que considera a interação entre a saúde humana, animal e ambiental. O projeto "Saúde Única de Igarapés" visa estudar a biodiversidade de Porto Velho e suas relações com o ambiente, visando a sensibilização da população quanto à prevenção das doenças transmitidas por insetos. A cartilha também fornece orientações práticas para evitar a proliferação desses insetos e reduzir o risco de doenças.
