Perfil das Mães no Distrito Federal

Abstract

Esta Nota Técnica tem o objetivo de oferecer elementos sobre o perfil demográfico das mães no Distrito Federal. De acordo com os dados da Pesquisa Distrital por Amostra de Domicílios (PDAD 2018) e do Sistema de Informações sobre Nascidos Vivos (SINASC), das mulheres que residem no Distrito Federal, 742.387 são mães, aproximadamente 49% das mulheres. Alguns aspectos do perfil demográfico das mães do Distrito Federal que podem ser descritos são: em média, têm dois filhos; estão entre 30 e 50 anos, são casadas/união estável/vivem com cônjuge, residentes em arranjos familiares compostos por casal e trabalham. Destaca-se, ainda, que as mulheres mães trabalham em média 10 horas por semana a mais que as mulheres que não são mães. Para além desse perfil médio, há grande diversidade nos perfis de acordo com as Regiões Administrativas em que elas residem. Essas diferenças são destacadas ao longo do texto.
