Abstract

Os fluidos magneto-reológicos (FMR), são compostos de partículas magnéticas suspensas em meio líquido não magnético, controláveis através de um campo magnético externo. Para formular um FMR bom e confiável para diferentes aplicações, tais como amortecedores MR, embreagens, freios, a redispersibilidade do FMR é um desafio, é propriedade necessária para aplicações fora do laboratório e do mundo real. Análogos aos fluidos magneto-reológicos os MRG são uma alternativa aos FMR, mas que ainda precisam ser mais estudados quanto ao seu preparo. Assim esta tese tem como objetivo principal estudar de forma aprofundada o comportamento de fluidos e géis magneto-reológicos quanto ao comportamento físico-químico, estabilidade, efeito magnético reológico relativo, redispersibilidade, e tribologia.
