Carcinoma basocelular esclerodermiforme

Abstract

Este trabalho buscou verificar a incidência do carcinoma basocelular (CBC) esclerodermiforme, caracterizado como tumor cutâneo, que apresenta caráter infiltrativo, elevadas taxas de recorrências e pior prognóstico, acometendo mais o sexo feminino e a região de cabeça e pescoço. A exposição solar é o fator de risco mais comum para o desencadeamento do CBC esclerodermiforme, com predomínio em pessoas com 70 anos de idade ou mais, pois a exposição à radiação ultravioleta é acumulativa ao longo da vida. O diagnóstico é clínico, mas o auxílio da dermatoscopia é essencial. Entretanto, é um desafio diagnosticar precocemente o CBC esclerodermiforme devido a suas características imprecisas. O tratamento mais indicado é o cirúrgico, especialmente a cirurgia micrográfica de Mohs, pois é considerada a mais precisa. Além da técnica cirúrgica, podem ser associadas quimioterapia e radioterapia. Alguns tumores são extensos e invasivos, podendo causar desconfigurações estéticas no paciente, que pode precisar de cirurgias reconstrutoras depois.
