Abstract

O armazenamento e a preservação dos documentos garantem a durabilidade das fontes. Documentos orgânicos são mais vulneráveis à deterioração. Os arquivos gerenciais geralmente armazenam documentos da atividade institucional realizada por uma organização. A área de Professor Part-Time do Departamento de Recursos Humanos da Universidade Central "Marta Abreu" de Las Villas (Cuba), armazena grandes volumes de documentação dos professores contratados pelo centro. O arquivo carece de um diagnóstico de conservação que facilite a criação de políticas de conservação documental. Por outro lado, a área carece de um plano de medidas preventivas para a conservação de documentos. Os objetivos do estudo são diagnosticar o estado da documentação que se encontra guardada na área do Professor Temporário e desenhar um plano de medidas preventivas para a documentação diagnosticada. Para obter resultados, utiliza-se a combinação das metodologias Diagnos e o Modelo da Biblioteca Nacional da Venezuela. Os fundos da instituição são diagnosticados, detectando-se os fatores ambientais, as condições locais e os fatores físico-mecânicos como os que mais influenciam na conservação dos acervos.
