MANTENEDORES ESTÉTICO-FUNCIONAIS PARA PERDA PRECOCE DE DENTES DECÍDUOS

Abstract

A perda prematura dos dentes decíduos ainda é bastante comum, sendo geralmente causada por cáries ou traumas. Com o intuito de reduzir os impactos dessa perda, os mantenedores de espaço estético-funcionais surgem como uma alternativa valiosa. Eles não apenas restauram um sorriso agradável, mas também desempenham um papel preventivo importante contra disfunções funcionais, tais como deglutição atípica, interposição lingual e distúrbios fonoarticulatórios. Neste contexto, através de uma revisão de literatura, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar os tipos de mantenedores estético-funcionais, que possibilitam a reabilitação protética do espaço deixado pela perda precoce de dentes decíduos. Considerando a importância da dentição decídua, torna-se inegável considerar a reabilitação através de mantenedores estéticos-funcionais para garantir o bem-estar da criança, promovendo um desenvolvimento bucal saudável e minimizando as possíveis complicações decorrentes da perda prematura dos dentes decíduos.
