LASERTERAPIA EM PACIENTE COM DISFUNÇÃO TEMPOROMANDIBULAR

Abstract

Introdução: O laser de baixa potência tem se mostrado eficaz no tratamento de Disfunções temporomandibulares e apresenta vantagens como redução das dores e desconfortos causados pelas DTM´s. Objetivo: Este trabalho realizou uma revisão de literatura e apresentou a utilização do laser de baixa potência em terapias para as disfunções temporomandibulares. Metodologia: Pautou-se na revisão de literatura através de livros, artigos científicos nacionais e internacionais, utilizando as seguintes bases de dados: RedAlyc, Dts Science, PubMed, Google acadêmico, SciELO e Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde. Revisão de literatura: O laser de baixa potência pode ser utilizado como forma terapêutica para DTM, apresentando vantagem como a estimulação celular, aumento de abertura de boca e analgesia. Conclusão: Por tanto, a aplicação do laser demonstra ser um tratamento promissor e eficiente apresentando resultados significativos aos problemas de articulações temporomandibulares a curto e longo prazo podendo ser combinados com outras terapias.
