Abstract. Public speaking is an essential communication skill for university students. However, this ability is often constrained by low confidence in one’s own capabilities. One psychological factor that plays a significant role in this context is self-efficacy. This study aims to examine the relationship between self-efficacy and public speaking ability among university students. Using a correlational quantitative approach, data were collected via questionnaires distributed to 79 students and analyzed using Pearson product-moment correlation. The results indicate a positive and significant relationship between self-efficacy and public speaking ability (r = 0.655; p = 0.000 < 0.05). Furthermore, analysis of the self-efficacy dimensions shows that the level dimension has the strongest correlation with public speaking ability (r = 0.607), followed by generality (r = 0.545) and strength (r = 0.358), all of which demonstrate significant relationships (p < 0.05).
