Abstract

Abstract. One of the complementary alternative therapies for liver damage is the use of hepatoprotector. Many studies have been carried out regarding hepatoprotective activity in plants. Two species from the Lamiaceae family are used empirically to treat liver disease. This study aims to determine the potential of Lamiaceae family as hepatoprotector. The method used in this research is a systematic literature review with data sourced from an article in International Journal published from 2012-2022 by article research, article selection based on inclusion and exclusion criteria then data extraction. The results of this study are Mentha piperita, Salvia officinalis, Scutellaria baicalensis, Rosmarinus officinalis, Ocimum gratissimum, Prunella vulgaris, Clerodendrum paniculatum, Ocimum basillicum, Teucrium polium, Melissa officinalis, Leucas cephalotes, Ajuga parviflora dan Thymus vulgaris plant have hepatoprotective activity. Abstrak. Salah satu terapi alternatif komplementer pada kerusakan hati adalah penggunaan hepatoprotektor. Banyak dilakukan penelitian terkait aktivitas hepatoprotektif yang berasal dari tanaman. Dua spesies tanaman suku Lamiaceae digunakan secara empiris untuk mengobati penyakit hati. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi tanaman dari suku Lamiaceae yang berperan sebagai hepatoprotektor. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah systematic literature review dengan sumber data dari artikel dalam Jurnal Internasional yang diterbitkan dari tahun 2012-2022 dengan tahapan pencarian artikel, penyaringan artikel berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi lalu dilakukan ekstraksi data. Dari hasil penelusuran pustaka diketahui bahwa tanaman Mentha piperita, Salvia officinalis, Scutellaria baicalensis, Rosmarinus officinalis, Ocimum gratissimum, Prunella vulgaris, Clerodendrum paniculatum, Ocimum basillicum, Teucrium polium,Melissa officinalis,Leucas cephalotes,Ajuga parviflora dan Thymus vulgaris memiliki aktivitas hepatoprotektif.
