Abstract

Abstract. Human papilloma virus (HPV) is a major risk factor for cervical cancer. Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer in women with an estimate of more than 500 thousand women diagnosed every year. The willingness of parents to vaccinate children aged 9-13 years with HPV is intended to reduce the prevalence of cervical cancer in Indonesia over the next 5-10 years. This time period is adjusted to the incubation period for HPV infection accompanied by an early detection program for cervical cancer as a national health program. The role of parents in preventing HPV infection can be by carrying out HPV vaccination from an early age, especially mothers. The general aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between maternal parenting patterns and HPV vaccination coverage in girls aged 9–13 years. This research is a cross sectional study with a sample size of 50 who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. This data was collected using a parenting style questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Spearman test. The results of this research show that the mother’s parenting style with the highest percentage is democratic (56%). The highest percentage of HPV vaccination coverage was also obtained, namely complete HPV vaccination coverage (82.1%). The Spearman test shows an F value of 0.016 (<0.05) so there is a relationship between mother’s parenting patterns and HPV vaccine coverage in girls aged 9-13 years. Abstrak. Human papilloma virus (HPV) merupakan faktor risiko utama kanker serviks. Kanker serviks menempati urutan ke-empat kanker tersering pada wanita dengan perkiraan lebih dari 500 ribu wanita terdiagnosis setiap tahun. Kesediaan vaksinasi HPV terhadap anak usia 9–13 tahun oleh orangtua diperuntukkan dapat menurunkan prevalensi kanker serviks di Indonesia pada rentang kurun waktu 5–10 tahun ke depan. Jangka waktu ini disesuaikan dengan masa inkubasi infeksi HPV diiringi dengan program deteksi dini kanker serviks sebagai program kesehatan nasional. Peran orangtua dalam pencegahan infeksi HPV dapat berupa melakukan vaksinasi HPV sejak dini terutama ibu. Tujuan umum penelitian ini adalah menganalisis hubungan pola asuh ibu dengan cakupan vaksinasi HPV pada anak perempuan usia 9–13 tahun. Peneltian ini merupakan penelitian cross sectional dengan jumlah sampel 50 yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Data ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner pola asuh ibu. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi-square. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pola asuh ibu dengan presentase terbanyak yaitu dengan cara demokrasi (56%). Didapatkan juga cakupan vaksinasi HPV dengan presentase tertinggi yaitu dengan cakupan vaksinasi HPV lengkap (82,1%). Uji Chi-square menunjukkan nilai p sebesar 0,016 (<0,05) sehingga terdapat hubungan antara pola asuh ibu dengan cakupan vaksin HPV pada anak Perempuan usia 9-13 tahun.
