Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to analyze the preaching rhetoric used by Ahmed Revaille in his stand up comedy show. Stand up comedy has become a popular form of entertainment in contemporary society, and in this context, da'wah rhetoric is an important aspect that can be used to convey religious messages to audiences in an interesting and effective way. This study uses descriptive qualitative research with a focus on da'wah rhetoric used by Ahmed Revaille in his stand up comedy performances. The data used in this study are observation during stand-up comedy performances and viewing videos of Ahmed Revaille's publicly available stand-up comedy performances, documentation and in-depth interviews with Ahmed Revaille. Data analysis was carried out by identifying the elements of da'wah rhetoric used by Ahmed Revaille, including the use of language, style of speech, humor, story structure, and religious messages conveyed. The results of the study show that Ahmed Revaille uses various elements of da'wah rhetoric in his stand up comedy performances. He is able to combine humor with religious messages in a subtle and entertaining way, thus creating emotional involvement and better understanding from the audience. Ahmed Revaille also uses familiar language and an intelligent speaking style to build connections with audiences and convey da'wah messages effectively. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis retorika dakwah yang digunakan oleh Ahmed Revaille dalam pertunjukan stand up comedy-nya. Stand up comedy telah menjadi salah satu bentuk hiburan yang populer dalam masyarakat kontemporer, dan dalam konteks ini, retorika dakwah menjadi aspek penting yang dapat digunakan untuk menyampaikan pesan-pesan keagamaan kepada audiens dengan cara yang menarik dan efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitaif deskriptif dengan fokus pada retorika dakwah yang digunakan oleh Ahmed Revaille dalam pertunjukan stand up comedy-nya. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni obeservasi pada saat penampilan stand up comedy dan melihat video-video penampilan stand up comedy Ahmed Revaille yang tersedia secara publik, dokumentasi dan wawancara mendalam kepada Ahmed Revaille. Analisis data dilakukan dengan mengidentifikasi elemen-elemen retorika dakwah yang digunakan oleh Ahmed Revaille, termasuk penggunaan bahasa, gaya berbicara, humor, struktur cerita, dan pesan keagamaan yang disampaikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Ahmed Revaille menggunakan berbagai elemen retorika dakwah dalam pertunjukan stand up comedy-nya. Ia mampu menggabungkan humor dengan pesan-pesan keagamaan secara halus dan menghibur, sehingga menciptakan keterlibatan emosional dan pemahaman yang lebih baik dari audiens. Ahmed Revaille juga menggunakan bahasa yang akrab dan gaya berbicara yang cerdas untuk membangun koneksi dengan audiens dan menyampaikan pesan-pesan dakwah secara efektif.
