Pengembangan Petunjuk Praktikum Kimia Bahan Alam Tentang Isolasi Sinamaldehid dari Kayu Manis

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian R&D (Research and Development) yang bertujuan untuk 1) mengembangkan buku petunjuk praktikum kimia bahan alam tentang isolasi sinamaldehid dari kayu manis dengan menggunakan metode yang telah dimodifikasi. 2) Mengetahui kelayakan dan kepraktisan petunjuk praktikum kimia bahan alam tentang isolasi sinamaldehid dari kayu manis yang dikembangkan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini meliputi mahasiswa program studi pendidikan kimia angkatan 2016/2017 yang berjumlah 70 mahasiswa dan sudah memprogramkan mata kuliah kimia bahan alam. Sampel penelitian yaitu 18 mahasiswa yang diambil secara acak menggunakan rumus Slovin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai validitas dari tiga orang validator yang diperoleh menggunakan indeks Aiken adalah V = 0,82 yang menunjukkan bahwa petunjuk praktikum kimia bahan alam tentang isolasi sinamaldehid dari kayu manis telah valid dan sangat layak digunakan. Sementara itu, praktikalitas dapat dilihat dari respon mahasiswa yang menunjukkan respon positif dengan rata-rata praktikalitas semua komponen sebesar 84% respon mahasiswa. Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa petunjuk praktikum kimia bahan alam tentang isolasi sinamaldehid dari kayu manis yang dikembangkan bersifat layak dan sangat praktis digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.Kata kunci: sinamaldehid, petunjuk praktikum, kimia bahan alam
