Abstract

Diversos trabajos relativos al conocimiento tradicional de los hongos silvestres comestibles se han realizado en la zona centro de méxico, pero algunos de ellos no incluyen información socioeconómica. derivado de esto se planteó el estudio que se describe a continuación con el objetivo de fundamentar, en dicho contexto, la relevancia del saber popular que posee la población que habita en las comunidades vinculadas con el área forestal de la sierra nevada. Para ello, se examinaron datos de campo referentes a los aspectos etnomicológicos relacionados con el aprovechamiento de dichos recursos naturales y se hizo un análisis comparativo de diversos parámetros socioeconómicos de los municipios ubicados en la región. los resultados indican que la situación de pobreza generalizada de la mayor parte de sus habitantes se agudiza para los municipios rurales, escenario que se acentúa para las mujeres asalariadas, en particular, las que no tienen pareja, son viudas o están divorciadas. de ahí la importancia alimentaria, económica y como elemento generador de identidad que reúne el conocimiento micológico tradicional, propio de algunos de los pobladores de las localidades que poseen o hacen uso de terrenos boscosos de la sierra nevada; esto es más valioso para la población femenina, como responsable de la comercialización de los hongos silvestres comestibles en los mercados regionales.
