Eficacia de la logoterapia como mecanismo de rehabilitación de personas privadas de libertad

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene por objetivo dar a conocer el mecanismo psicológico denominado logoterapia, posible a utilizar dentro de los centros de rehabilitación, para garantizar los derechos humanos de las personas privadas de la libertad (PPL) en cuanto a la salud mental. Desde esta perspectiva la Constitución de la República del Ecuador del 2008, menciona que el Estado debe garantizar la rehabilitación para la correcta reinserción a la sociedad de las personas privadas de la libertad. El sistema de salud en América Latina, el Caribe y especialmente en el Ecuador, enfrenta grandes retos en cuanto a los mecanismos psicológicos de rehabilitación que resultan ser importantes para explicar el origen de los actos delictivos. De ahí que, se aplicó una metodología cualitativa, para analizar fuentes de reconocido prestigio sobre Derechos Humanos, así como, la implementación de los mecanismos de rehabilitación eficientes para garantizar una efectiva reinserción social. La limitada rehabilitación sustentada en procesos psicológicos no ha permitido mejorar significativamente las conductas delictivas en las personas privadas de la libertad. En tal sentido la logoterapia constituye una alternativa viable, puesto que, permite al sujeto descubrir el sentido de la vida, para tener un mejor comportamiento frente a la sociedad.
