Design gráfico e ativismo: análise da obra do coletivo Guerrilla Girls para o Museu de Arte de São Paulo

Abstract

A abordagem aqui proposta busca entender a apropriação das funções do design na construção de manifestações visuais com discurso crítico e político, a fim de transpor a ideia hegemônica de que o design se dedica a concepções de produtos mercadológicos focadas em soluções visuais para problemas de cunho também mercadológico. Além disso, se busca intensificar a possibilidade de um design que usa de artifícios conceituais de produção de valor não somente artístico, mas também sócio-político, utilizando para tanto o exemplo da produção do coletivo feminista Guerrilla Girls desenvolvida e adaptada para a exposição do Museu de Arte de São Paulo, e que propôs uma transversalidade do uso do design gráfico como expressão de arte ativista.
