Ativismo Para Designers em Portugal

Abstract

Este trabalho apresenta as atividades desenvolvidas em uma disciplina de curso superior em Design em Portugal que tinham como intuito contextualizar, discutir e incentivar a prática do design de ativismo. Idealizada por um professor visitante brasileiro, a proposta visava mostrar esta vertente em crescimento no cenário de seu país de origem, principalmente no que diz respeito ao design de comunicação. Apresentamos inicialmente os principais autores que serviram para conceituação sustentação teórica. Em seguida, abordamos as metodologias aplicadas a fim de envolver os alunos com as perspectivas sociopolíticas do design. Por fim, discorremos sobre alguns dos trabalhos finais apresentados, mostrando os resultados obtidos após os estímulos teóricos e práticos do curso. A experiência mostrou que as condições locais interferem diretamente nas motivações práticas do design de ativismo, ainda que a ligação cultural entre os dois países e o contexto globalizado tenham suscitado também similaridades.
